Hello 2024! We saw many wedding trends emerge in 2023-some great, some not so great. Here are SIX trends I hope GROW in 2024.

01 PERSONALIZED DESSERT & DRINKS

I love cake (give me all the buttercream please), but I also love seeing a variety in desserts that are special to the couple. Late night snacks are also a really nice touch and your guests will appreciate it. Make it something that really represents what you and your fiancé enjoy eating. This is a fun way to connect with your guests and give them a glimpse into your life. And don’t forget signature cocktails!

02 OFFICIANTS THAT KNOW YOU

I have been seeing more and more weddings officiated by a close friend or family member. This makes the day so much sweeter and personal. There’s typically not a dry eye in the room! Having someone you actually know makes it more comfortable, plus allows there to be inside jokes and humor. That being said, there are some professional officiants that really do their homework and it shows. 03 VARIETY IN BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES

It used to be that EVERY bridesmaid wore identical dresses. Now I’m seeing more variety. I’m talking lots of textures, different shades or colors, different dress styles, and even patterns. Each bridesmaid feels special and it photographs really well.

04 SOLO COUPLES TIME

This is a big one. Setting aside 15 minutes for just you and your fiancé can make a world of difference. Whether you take this time right after the First Look, eating dinner privately, or just sneaking away during the reception. It’s greet to have a little one on one time to gather your thoughts and recenter. Most importantly, it SLOWS the day down a bit. Your wedding day moves fast and it’s a whirlwind. It’s so vital to fully enjoy every moment and be present. You deserve it and you’ll absolutely love your wedding day and remember it for the rest of your life.

05 COLOR

I’ve been seeing so many bright floral colors lately and I’m obsessed! Keep it coming.

06 PRIVATE VOWS

I know introverts do not want to hear this, myself included, but writing your own vows really heightens the emotional impact of the day. Your fiancé will love hearing them and so will your guests. Your wedding is already a special day, but this makes it just a little more special. Trust me, you will NOT regret it and when you look back at your wedding, you will be so happy you did it.
