Natalie + Peter's Summer Wedding

Mr. & Mrs. Lopatkiewicz | 06.06.2020

I first met Natalie and Peter a little over a year ago when they booked me for their wedding. We spent some time together in May 2019 for their engagement shoot, which was a lot of fun. Both Natalie and Peter are great people. The kind you can sit with, have a beer or two, and enjoy the time spent together. I was really looking forward to their wedding since it seemed like it would be a ton of fun. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, plans changed slightly.

Their wedding was scheduled for May 30th, 2020 but they had to reschedule to next year. They still wanted to get married so they decided to have an intimate ceremony in their backyard and have their big celebration next year. It turned out so beautiful! The weather was perfect and their yard looked amazing! They had help from Elise, an event planner + stylist (www.chicfromchicago.com) who did a phenomenal job. The attention to detail was extraordinary and truly shocking to know they put it all together in just a couple weeks. All the hard work definitely payed off because everything looked stunning.

In the end, it doesn’t matter what the setting is for a wedding. As long as the two people getting married truly love one another and begin their life as one. That’s definitely the case with Natalie and Peter and it was truly an honor to be the one to photograph their wedding. It was such a fun time and I’m even more excited for their big celebration next year! Until then, here are a few photos from their wedding :)

Natalie’s bridesmaids surprised her after the ceremony!!! Such a sweet moment.

This day was also Peter’s parent’s 39th anniversary!
